THURSDAY, October 4 *Substitute in room*

1.     JOURNAL:  Write a full page entry on a connection you made to “All Summer in a Day”—fitting in, missing home, a weather story, bullying, etc.  

2.     Lit Book: p. 738 “Uncle Septimus’s Beard”   If you are up to it—read aloud!  

3.     Students use another sheet of notebook paper and complete #5 pg. 744 (draw the beard and label fig elements) on the front of the paper AND on the back draw and label the story arc/plot chart NEATLY.  Independent work!  This will be a good review for the test.  Don’t forget THEME!
